Liberalization of the Electricity Market

- 02With the launch of the Competitive Electricity Market, Bioland Promithia welcomed a new era with no restrictions to customer categories (Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Communities, etc.), offering comprehensive and competitive electricity supply programs tailored to the needs of every customer.

- 05No, there will be no power interruption. Your electricity supply will continue through the existing distribution network. Only your meter will be transferred from the Meter Registry of your previous supplier to the Meter Registry of Bioland Promithia Ltd. The network remains common for all and is managed by the Distribution System Operator (DSO). Supplier switching affects only competitive charges and the contract—not the electricity supply itself.

- 10Yes. Through the DSO’s Web Portal (meterreading-dso.eac.com.cy), created to ensure safe and transparent access to technical meter data and consumption readings. Registration is available to all Network Users who have meters registered in their name and whose ID number and mobile phone number are safely recorded in the Web Portal of the DSO.
- 11For a first-time connection, submit your application through www.biolandpromithia.com, selecting your preferred program and marking the field for “first activation.” You must attach all required certificates posted on our website, as well as the DSO connection terms. For assistance, contact 8000 6006 or info@biolandpromithia.com.
- 12The customer must notify Bioland Promithia in advance according to the terms of their contract. Then, the customer may proceed with their chosen contractor. To create a new Supply Contract, the following documents must be submitted: a) CERA license (where applicable) b) Acceptance of DSO connection terms for the PV installation c) Installation Safety Certificate The PV activation date is determined by the DSO.
